Coppice Steam Fair ( fundraising event ) Sept 5th - 8th
This rally is the 4C’s biggest fundraiser for the air ambulance and started on Thursday. We arrived on Friday afternoon and the weather was sunny with a strong breeze. Volunteers from the club spent Thursday and Friday setting up the air ambulance stall with a section for the tombola and selling raffle tickets and a section for selling goods which had been donated. There were also lots of other vendors and catering vans setting up. Friday evening there was a disco in the event's beer tent which was well attended by vendors, exhibitors, volunteers and people staying on the campsite.Friday night it poured down with rain and continued to rain on and off throughout Saturday but spirits were still high. Saturday attendance of the public was slow starting and footfall was lighter than previous years due to the weather.
