Coppice Steam Fair ( fundraising event ) Sept 5th - 8th

 This rally is the 4C’s biggest fundraiser for the air ambulance and started on Thursday. We arrived on Friday afternoon and the weather was sunny with a strong breeze. Volunteers from the club spent Thursday and Friday setting up the air ambulance stall with a section for the tombola and selling raffle tickets and a section for selling goods which had been donated. There were also lots of other vendors and catering vans setting up.




Friday evening there was a disco in the event's beer tent which was well attended by vendors, exhibitors, volunteers and people staying on the campsite.Friday night it poured down with rain and continued to rain on and off throughout Saturday but spirits were still high.


Saturday attendance of the public was slow starting and footfall was lighter than previous years due to the weather. In  the main arena they had a dog show with lots of categories like prettiest bitch, waggiest tail and most wanted to take home. There were also the vintage cars being exhibited and one of the club members brought along his own vintage car to show and one of our members had the privilege of riding in the car with him. Unfortunately the traction engines and HGV’s were unable to enter the arena due to the amount of rain we had and the ground being too soft, however they did parade down the road. Our volunteers were hard at work on our stall selling raffle tickets, items donated and over seeing the tombola game. They had a good laugh and fun together. One of our members supplied filled cobs and pork pie for lunch.








Sunday the sun came out for us and we only had an occasional shower. In the main arena was an exhibition of miniature trains, vintage cars and a dog race. The footfall today was a lot better and everyone was so relieved that the weather was better and that the public were having fun and spending money ( all for a good cause ).


We as a club raised an amazing £1747.44 for our charity Leicester, Derbyshire and rutland air ambulance. SN, RN

Moira Furnace, Easter

Easter Rally 2022. Arrived on Thursday in brilliant sunshine which stayed with us all weekend. Obviously ordered by the Marshalls. Thursday night free and easy meeting with friends and catching up. Friday in the party tent for a get together. Saturday American supper and raffle followed by bingo. The American supper would not have been out of place at an up-market function. It was amazing. Tea and coffee was on tap all weekend which was lovely, hot cross buns were had. Thanks to the people who kept the boiler topped up. Easter Sunday bacon baps were done for everyone and later saw a well organised egg hunt for the children and an adult and children’s Easter bonnet parade. Some amazing creations. Sunday night saw us in the party tent again just chilling and chatting. An excellent rally, friendly and welcoming as is to be expected on a 4Cs rally. Market Bosworth RFC

What a scorcher of a weekend at Market Bosworth. Friday was a free and easy day with a Chip shop run in the evening. Thank you, S & J, for doing this as it saved me having to get the Cadac going,. Saturday was very warm so plans were amended. Some of us did the walk in to Market Bosworth and some did the short drive in while others were left dog sitting.There are only a handful of shops in Market Bosworth but some very nice purchases were made. A couple of pints in Ye Olde Red Lion Hotel went down well before returning to our caravans.The evening started with an American supper followed by an entertaining Backward Raffle.There was also a raffle followed by Bingo.The Quiz this rally was really good as we actually knew a lot of the answers. Halloween at Netherseale SPSC

Netherseale SPSC Early Halloween and Open Forum. 3 nights 20th – 23rd October 2022.          Rally Report. Thank you to the Marshals S & JP for their friendly welcome and the organising and running of the rally. Eleven units attended, pitched either on the grass alongside the football pitch, or on the car park of St Peters Sports Club. A rural site in Netherseale close to Moira and Ashby De La Zouche. Thursday – Auction in the Sports club ran and organised by local people.Friday – Rally members met in the Sports Club for a chat, drink and a couple of games of Pool.The highlight of the weekend was on Saturday evening and the early celebration of Halloween. Everyone joined in and there were fantastic costumes, make up and spooky table accessories on display. The Sports Club was decorated to add to the ambience.
