Valentine Rally 12th - 15th February





We arrived on Thursday with a few others to light rain, though it did brighten up a little by Friday, more people joined us throughout the day, and in the evening we all gathered in the clubhouse for a get together with a backward raffle, which caused a good laugh.  Thank you to Sue for donating the prizes.
Saturday brought a bit of sunshine and in the evening we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal followed by games with Mark.
We played Mr and Mrs, fruit reels,dirty minds (which was absolutely hilarious) and another backward raffle. Thank you Mark -even Chris managed to win 2 prizes despite always saying she never wins anything.  It was a really good evening for everyone especially Liam.     A big thank you to Shelly and Je for all the time and effort you put into organising the rally, and to Sarah and Lisa for helping with the delicious food - there was plenty for everyone.

                                                 Well what can i say WOW WOW WOW absolutely fantastic weekend there were thirteen vans in attendance. We arrived on Friday and it was a free and easy day, with a few of the members getting together for a chat and a drink. On Saturday a few of the members went to the local pub in the afternoon for a drink , while other members travelled out locally to go for a walk. Saturday evening we all went to the hall for a three course valentine meal. The hall and tables were decorated beautifully. Easter weekend Bakewell Showground April 17th - 22nd 2025

             Bakewell Easter Weekend 17 th – 22 nd April Rally Arrived on Thursday and set up in the sunshine. Lovely location with the town of Bakewell and the Monsal Trail both only being a ten minute walk away. Friday was a free and easy day with a walk into Bakewell for us. The evening was a bit too chilli to go to the social tent, so, chilled in the caravan with the dogs.  Saturday, we enjoyed Hot cross buns and apple pie in the social tent and then walked part of the Monsal Trail to the old railway station, and down into Bakewell to burn off the calories. The evening was fun packed, starting with Lisa’s home-made scones, followed by a music quiz and backward raffle. Well done to Chris and Mel for winning the quiz.   Newstead Abbey Rally. 1940’s themed May Day Weekend.  May 1st – May 6 th 2025 A warm welcome from Gord and Bev the Camp Wardens (Marshals) for this 1940’s themed rally. The Rally took place on the ‘Little Paradise Field’ at the rear of Newstead Abbey. The weather was warm and sunny. All service personnel were asked to report to the War Office upon arrival. Gas mask boxes were distributed and warnings given about the unexploded bombs. A total of 13 units attended. An Air Raid Warning Siren and shrill whistle blowing from the ARP Warden signalled the start of the activities every day. 40’s music was played in the background to add to the ambience. A treasure hunt over the few days was set amongst the grounds of Newstead. Items to be collected added to the mystery and challenge. On the Friday evening the backward raffle and live 40’s themed quiz challenged all the rally members. Again, another glorious day, but cooler in the evening. The party tent helped keep us cosy.
