HATTON COUNTRY WORLD, May 23 rd to 28 th 2024

Arrived on Thursday to be greeted by marshals J & J and KS to find that on their arrival at Hatton Country World they had been told the rally field was unfortunately so wet that it was not useable. The site offered a small grass area and the bus parking car park as an alternative.

The marshals were not fazed and set plan B in action. JW was also marshalling, but due to work couldn’t arrive until later in the day, escaping the issues they had encountered. We did manage to get stuck, with our 4x4 off roader and once we had been rescued by J we were soon pitched.

The rally was a mixture of sunshine and showers, but we managed to sit out and socialise every day. The location was lovely and only a short walk from the Hatton Locks on the Grand Union Canal, where there are 21 locks which bring the canal up from Warwick to Hatton.

It was a nice 2 mile walk along the canal into Warwick, where we enjoyed a well-earned pint.

Hatton Country World hosts a garden centre and a shopping village which was nice to walk round and treat ourselves.

The three children on the rally enjoyed spending Saturday in the adventure world and came back with worn out grandparents.

Thank you for another lovely rally.
