Valentine’s Rally Copt Oak February 13th - 16th


                                                

Well what can i say WOW WOW WOW absolutely fantastic weekend there were thirteen vans in attendance. We arrived on Friday and it was a free and easy day, with a few of the members getting together for a chat and a drink.

On Saturday a few of the members went to the local pub in the afternoon for a drink , while other members travelled out locally to go for a walk. Saturday evening we all went to the hall for a three course valentine meal. The hall and tables were decorated beautifully. SP and GB organised all the catering along with other members helping out during the day and evening.

The meal was exceptional and there was plenty of it. After the meal the fun began first off was the drawing of the free lucky van raffle and the winner won a free admin card and two valentines mugs. Following that was the main raffle which had 15 raffle prizes (all donated by members) and raised £47 for Air Ambulance. Then SP hosted a quiz which was a mixture of valentine multiple choice questions, then some more questions relating to valentines, followed by name of the track and artist of the songs which all had Love in. We were quite pleased with ourselves for getting 25 right but the winner with 35 was GB & JG. to finish off the night MC hosted a game of MR & MRS. The night was full of laughs and a good time was had by all.

Lyndon Top Rutland water August 1st - 4th

  What a lovely weekend at Lyndon Top we arrived on Thursday afternoon and the sun was shining, we had heavy rain Thursday evening, but we woke up to sunshine again on Friday, unfortunately we woke to rain on Saturday but it soon cleared up and the sun shone again until we left Sunday afternoon. We had eleven vans in attendance which for saying this was a last minute replacement for the golden cup was fantastic. Thursday afternoon and evening was free and easy, getting set up and catching up with everyone.  Friday was another free and easy day, we went for a walk around the site which had some stunning views overlooking the lake and then in the evening some of us met up in the party tent for a good chat, lots of laughs and a few games of sticky thirteen.                                                                ...

Moira Furnace Museum & co, June 27th to 30th 2024

A lovely rally run by SR & PR and SP & JP. A great little site with a children's park nearby and some fabulous walks. One along the canal which takes you to a pub ( Halfway House ) at Donisthorpe which has a great beer garden with children's play area. The weather was cloudy with some sunshine apart from some heavy rain during Saturday night. Thursday was a chill out afternoon/evening with members sitting outside together catching up and then later retiring to the clubs party tent, for more catchup time and laughs. Friday we took a walk along the canal to the pub for a pint and a cheese and onion cob. We had a blackout and won happy days lol. Then we all met up in the party tent to socialize together and enjoy a drink and some snacks brought in by a member. Saturday in the morning we went for a walk to the local co-op and post office/off license. Coppice Steam Fair ( fundraising event ) Sept 5th - 8th

  This rally is the 4C’s biggest fundraiser for the air ambulance and started on Thursday. We arrived on Friday afternoon and the weather was sunny with a strong breeze. Volunteers from the club spent Thursday and Friday setting up the air ambulance stall with a section for the tombola and selling raffle tickets and a section for selling goods which had been donated. There were also lots of other vendors and catering vans setting up. Friday evening there was a disco in the event's beer tent which was well attended by vendors, exhibitors, volunteers and people staying on the campsite.Friday night it poured down with rain and continued to rain on and off throughout Saturday but spirits were still high. Saturday attendance of the public was slow starting and footfall was lighter than previous years due to the weather.
