Bakewell Easter Weekend 17th – 22nd April Rally

Arrived on Thursday and set up in the sunshine.

AI-generated content may be incorrect.Lovely location with the town of Bakewell and the Monsal Trail both only being a ten minute walk away. Friday was a free and easy day with a walk into Bakewell for us. The evening was a bit too chilli to go to the social tent, so, chilled in the caravan with the dogs.

Saturday, we enjoyed Hot cross buns and apple pie in the social tent and then walked part of the Monsal Trail to the old railway station, and down into Bakewell to burn off the calories. The evening was fun packed, starting with Lisa’s home-made scones, followed by a music quiz and backward raffle. Well done to Chris and Mel for winning the quiz.

Sunday began with an easter egg hunt for the children, which went down very well. We then walked into Bakewell and after a bit of shopping stopped off at the Peacock for a pint in the sunshine. The evening was again fun packed with the easter bonnet competition, the ballon raffle and ‘play your cards right’ game, topped off with cake and cheesecake provided by Slug.

Monday was a ‘Great British Weather’ day with rain until late afternoon, but we still managed to get our steps in. A few members had to head off home today, but the rest of us had a relaxing evening.

Tuesday was a quick walk before packing up and heading off home. There was only one hiccup, which required a stuck camper being pulled off. All good fun and never a dull moment with the 4Cs.

Thanks to the committee for marshalling.
