Darley Moor Motor Cycle Race Club october 9th-13th

 


A great weekend at Darley Moor for the Stars of Darley motorcycle racing event. The event featured a lineup of top riders, including professional and club level competitors with many well known riders like John McGuinness participating.

The weekend kicked off in style on Friday evening with bingo in the social tent, which looked fantastic with its racing themed decorations and bunting. It was a great evening full of laughter and friendly competition – the perfect start to the weekend!

Saturday morning some members went for a walk along the Tissington Trail starting in Ashbourne while others took their seats at the side of the track. The day was packed with exciting motorcycle racing and plenty of thrilling moments. One rider breaking their track record.

In the evening, everyone came together again in the social tent for bingo, a quiz, raffle and the flag. The highlight of the night had to be the delicious homemade cakes with a motorcycle theme baked by our lovely marshal Lisa.

Another full day of racing on Sunday rounded off the weekend perfectly. The atmosphere around the track was brilliant and the racing kept everyone entertained. 

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, it was beautiful all weekend, adding to the enjoyment and making it a fantastic rally.

I would like to say a special thanks to Mark and Lisa for Marshalling a great rally. Your hard work and enthusiasm were much appreciated by everyone who attended.

                                                 Well what can i say WOW WOW WOW absolutely fantastic weekend there were thirteen vans in attendance. We arrived on Friday and it was a free and easy day, with a few of the members getting together for a chat and a drink. On Saturday a few of the members went to the local pub in the afternoon for a drink , while other members travelled out locally to go for a walk. Copt Oak Early Halloween. 3 nights 24 th – 26th October 2024

Thank you to the Marshals SP and JP for their friendly welcome and the organising and running of the Rally. Co Marshalls BT and GG. 9 units attended, pitched on hardstanding at the side of the Memorial Hall. Thursday – Legs down upon arrival. Free and easy day. Lovely sunny afternoon. Friday – More arrivals. Free and easy day. Evening meal at the Copt Oak pub, a good number attended. The highlight of the weekend was on Saturday evening and the early celebration of Halloween. Everyone joined in and there were fantastic costumes, make up and spooky table accessories on display. The Memorial Hall was decorated to add to the ambience. SP organised and led a team to lay on a fantastic buffet for the evening. Thank you to SP and team. The buffet and the seated area looked fantastic. Easter weekend Bakewell Showground April 17th - 22nd 2025

             Bakewell Easter Weekend 17 th – 22 nd April Rally Arrived on Thursday and set up in the sunshine. Lovely location with the town of Bakewell and the Monsal Trail both only being a ten minute walk away. Friday was a free and easy day with a walk into Bakewell for us. The evening was a bit too chilli to go to the social tent, so, chilled in the caravan with the dogs.  Saturday, we enjoyed Hot cross buns and apple pie in the social tent and then walked part of the Monsal Trail to the old railway station, and down into Bakewell to burn off the calories. The evening was fun packed, starting with Lisa’s home-made scones, followed by a music quiz and backward raffle. Well done to Chris and Mel for winning the quiz.
